Going a little crazy here. I've been researching tractors for almost 3 months and I've looked at JD, NH, MF & Kubota. I'm considering the JD790 or the Kubota L3400. The L3400 seems to have a few more HP's, wet brakes, etc. Can anyone give me an idea of what kind of price I'm looking to pay for the Kubota with or w/o a FEL? I recently got a price quote for the 790 but felt it was a little high (JD790 w/ 419 Loader = $14,500).
Thanks!!!!

I just bought a Kubota L3400DT with FEL, shredder, box blade and trailer with new tires. I paid $17K for the whole thing. I felt it was a good price. The JD790 was too tight and cramped when I sat in the seat. The price I was quoted from JD was about the same as what you were quoted. The Kobota just felt better to me. I also had a L2650 Kubota for 10 years with no problems so that swayed me a bit also.
The best part to remember, soon you will be getting seat time on a nice tractor either way you go.

I recently bought a L3400DT w/ FEL and paid about what you were quoted for the JD. I checked out JD, MF, NH & Kubota tractors in the 30-35 hp range. The 3400 was the overall best deal. I have used this tractor to move 20 yard loads of #4 rock, bushhog 5 acres, and constantly use the FEL to move heavy items. I am very satisfied w/ this tractor. ....
